With a new multi-year contract, the Montana Aerospace division
Universal Alloy Corporation Europe (“UAC Europe”) will supply additional
structural components (crossbeams) including attachments for the cabin
floor of the A330 family.
UAC Europe has been a trusted partner of Airbus in the A330 program for many years,
supplying important work packages such as seat tracks (fastening rails for passenger
seats) and other attachments. The new contract underscores the continuous growth and
close cooperation with the aircraft manufacturer Airbus.
“Montana Aerospace is proud to implement another major project for Airbus with the
production of the Long Range Crossbeam for the A330,“ says Kai Arndt, Co-CEO of
Montana Aerospace. “We are capable of industrializing complex, large work packages
reliably, quickly, and with sustainably short delivery times. The order confirms the trust
of our long-standing partner in our quality and performance and further affirms our
strategy as a one-stop shop for the global aerospace industry.“
Following the successful industrialization of the A320 Single Aisle crossbeam program for
Airbus last year, UAC Europe started the First Article Inspection process for the Long
Range crossbeam program in December 2024, a process that will last until June 2025.
Series production of these structural components will begin in May 2025.
Deliveries will be made both to a sub-supplier for further pre-assembly and directly to
the Airbus sites in Hamburg and Nordenham. This once again underscores the Montana
Aerospace Group’s position as a reliable and high-performing Super Tier 2 supplier to the
aviation industry.
Services along the value chain
As a global one-stop-shop for the aerospace industry, Montana Aerospace Division
UAC Europe supports the entire value chain in this new Airbus work package: from
sourcing high quality extrusions, through in-house CNC machining, surface treatment
and pre-assembly, to logistics – delivery of ready-to-install components.
Speed, Efficiency and Reliability
The ability to industrialize and deliver complex and large-volume work packages reliably,
efficiently and in a short period of time makes the Montana Aerospace Group a
dependable partner in the aviation industry.
“Thanks to the VI process and state-of-the-art machinery, changes, new components
and short-term requirements can be implemented quickly and efficiently for our
customers. Our professional, customer-focused and solution-oriented teams have once
again demonstrated their expertise,” said Brian Weed, CEO of UAC Europe and added:
”We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Airbus and I would like to thank the
entire UAC Europe team for their outstanding commitment.”
