Dr. Michael Pistauer holds the position of Co-CEO of Montana Aerospace AG since July 2022 and in this function is responsible for the operational and strategic development of the E-Mobility and Energy business segments. In addition, he has been responsible for the financial agendas as well as for the areas of M&A, investor relations and IT as CFO since the company was founded. He is an experienced specialist with excellent industry and finance know-how and he successfully implemented Montana Aerospace’s previous strategic M&A transactions and growth projects and has supported development of the globally operating industrial group from the very beginning.
He holds a degree in business administration and has a long track record in building high performance financial organizations. Dr. Michael Pistauer has been a member of the management team of Montana Tech Components (parent company of Montana Aerospace AG) since 2016. In his role as CFO, he has been responsible for the successful structuring and alignment of today's VARTA AG, which belongs to the parent company, and has helped to put the German battery manufacturer on a very successful growth path between 2016 and 2018. Under his leadership, VARTA AG successfully went public in 2017, which remains one of the most successful IPOs in Germany to date. In 2019, Dr. Pistauer was co-responsible for the listing of Aluflexpack AG on the Swiss Stock Exchange. Before joining the Montana Tech Components Group, Dr. Michael Pistauer was an entrepreneur himself and held various management positions in several companies, some of which were listed on the stock exchange.
